Your Privacy Matters

Omni Scanner (formerly Snap2Save / Business Card & Event AI Scanner) is built with privacy as our core foundation. We believe your personal information should stay private, which is why we process your scanned contacts and events locally and securely on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains how Omni Scanner collects, uses, and discloses information when you use our mobile application, including data processed for AI document parsing, marketing attribution, analytics, and advertising.

Information We Collect

  • Local & Temporary Document Processing: Photos, business cards, and documents scanned in the app are processed temporarily to extract contact and calendar event information. Scanned images are processed via secure AI services and are never permanently stored on our servers.
  • Device Permissions: We request permissions for Contacts and Calendar solely to save extracted details directly to your device upon your confirmation.
  • Analytics & Attribution Data (AppsFlyer): We automatically collect information regarding app installation sources, marketing campaign performance, and app usage events.
  • Advertising Identifiers & Usage Data (Meta Audience Network): We collect device advertising identifiers and interaction data to serve relevant advertisements within the app.

Analytics & Attribution Disclosure (AppsFlyer)

We use AppsFlyer, a third-party analytics and campaign attribution platform, to measure installation sources, marketing campaign effectiveness, and in-app usage events (such as business card scans completed, contacts or events saved, and in-app purchases or subscriptions).

When you use Omni Scanner, AppsFlyer may collect and process the following data:

  • Device Identifiers: Apple ID for Advertisers (IDFA on iOS), Identifier for Vendors (IDFV), and Google Advertising ID (GAID / Android Advertising ID).
  • Network & Technical Identifiers: IP address, mobile network operator, device hardware model, operating system version, and system language.
  • App Usage & Activity Logs: In-app event logs (e.g., scans completed, contacts saved, purchases made), timestamp of installation, app launches, and feature engagement.

Personalized Advertising Disclosure (Facebook Audience Network / Meta)

We integrate Facebook Audience Network (Meta) to deliver ad inventory and display advertisements within Omni Scanner.

Meta collects and processes data to personalize advertisements, measure ad effectiveness, and prevent fraudulent activity. This data includes:

  • Device Advertising Identifiers: IDFA on iOS devices (subject to App Tracking Transparency consent) and Advertising ID on Android devices.
  • Usage & Impression Data: Interaction with ads served, ad view duration, and in-app performance metrics.
  • Network Information: IP address, device specifications, and user agent header.

For more information on how Meta processes your data, please review the Meta Privacy Policy.

iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) & Consent

On iOS 14.5 and above, Apple requires apps to obtain user consent through the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before accessing the device's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) or tracking activity across third-party apps and websites.

When you launch Omni Scanner on iOS, you will be presented with a prompt asking for permission to track your activity across other companies' apps and websites for analytics and personalized advertising.

  • If you select "Allow": We and our partners (AppsFlyer and Meta Audience Network) may use your IDFA to provide personalized ads and measure advertising campaign performance.
  • If you select "Ask App Not to Track": We will not access your IDFA for tracking purposes, and ad inventory will not be personalized based on cross-app tracking.

How to grant, reject, or revoke tracking permissions at any time:

You can manage or revoke tracking permissions for Omni Scanner at any time through your iOS device settings:

Open Settings > Tap Privacy & Security > Tap Tracking > Locate Omni Scanner and toggle permission ON or OFF.

Third-Party Services Summary

We integrate the following third-party service providers to deliver, measure, and optimize Omni Scanner:

  • Google Gemini API & OpenAI ChatGPT API: Optical character recognition (OCR) and intelligent text parsing. Images are processed temporarily and not stored for model training.
  • AppsFlyer: App installation attribution, marketing channel measurement, and feature usage analytics. (AppsFlyer Privacy Policy)
  • Facebook Audience Network (Meta): Ad inventory, ad personalization, and conversion measurement. (Meta Privacy Policy)

Depending on your jurisdiction (such as the European Economic Area under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you have specific rights regarding your personal data:
